Generally confirmed ticket refund amount is very less, and IRCT cuts more money, which is faced by the passengers every day. The Railways also put a hefty fee on cancellation of tickets that ranges between 25% and 50% of the ticket cost, depending on the class of travel and timing of cancellation.
Passengers are given these options on the official website of the IRCTC and the mobile application both places. Here, passengers can choose the new travel date and time. If any travel ticket charges the same amount, passengers have to pay.
As per the latest news and facilities, these options are available in other developed countries like Japan, Canada and many more. After many observations, this feature is going to be implemented shortly.
