PM Modi inaugurates India’s First Bamboo-Based Ethanol Plant in Assam

In view of the good production government of India has decided to enhance the business by using the bamboo.

Golaghat facility billed as world’s first green bamboo bioethanol plant; ₹7,230-crore polypropylene project also initiated at Numaligarh Refinery. PM Modi inaugurated the bamboo-based bioethanol plant in Assam on Sunday, 14th September 2025. In the Bamboo, the juice is found, and later on, this product is used to manufacture the industrial oil.

The main mission of this plant is to enhance the energy in our country by using the bamboo plant’s juice. The ₹5,000 crore facility at Numaligarh Refinery Limited represents part of ₹18,000 crore worth of development projects unveiled for the state, positioning India to reduce its dependence on imported fossil fuels.

Modi’s Speech on the Inauguration

While speaking at the district of Assam at Golaghat has highlighted the renewable energy. Like the solar production last few years, India is going on this path and creating a remarkable contribution in this sector. According to the reports, India has gained the 5th place in the world in Solar energy production.
